Over the past few months, we’ve been working with the Welsh Language Commissioner’s office to put together our Cynnig Cymraeg (Welsh Offer) which outlines which services we provide in Welsh, how it fits into our work and how we will build on that in future and are thrilled to have received accreditation for our plan from the Commissioner.
We’re a Welsh company and proud of that. Our name, ‘Positif’ is the Welsh word for ‘positive’ and reflects our outlook and the way we do business. We naturally operate as a bilingual company with the majority of staff members being first language Welsh speakers and provide a bilingual service to our clients.
You may not know but Positif deliver a bilingual political monitoring service to clients, the only Public Affairs Agency in Wales which offers this service. We will continue to develop and monitor the use of Welsh in our work and will review our Welsh language offer and our plan on an annual basis in collaboration with the Commissioner’s hybu team.
If you are a charity or a business that already has a Welsh language policy in place or you’re looking to draw one up, this is an opportunity to work with the Welsh Language Commissioner to ensure that your policy is fit for purpose to receive recognition and to increase the use of your services.
